Thor Diesel Club Invites Members to Rally

 

Thor Diesel Motorhome Owners Club

Owners of Four Winds International and Damon Motor Coach diesel products are being welcomed into the newly formed Thor Diesel Club, formerly known as the Mandalay Travel Club.
 

The club is extending an invitation to all owners of the following Class A diesel coaches: Damon Avanti, Astoria, Essence, Escaper, LX400, Tuscany and Ultrasport; Four Winds Serrano and Monteceito; and Mandalay Presidio, Mandalay and Valencia.

 

Thor Diesel Club will host its first rally Oct. 3-8 in Goshen, Ind. Jim Larocca, president of Thor Diesel Club, extended an open invitation to all the qualifying owners to stop out and become a charter member of the newly formed Thor Diesel Club.

 

“Damon and Four Winds will sponsor this event and have staff available at the rally. The Thor Diesel Club will continue their traditions of the past and you will find seminars, vendor support, giveaways, food, golf and tech service during the week for all attendees. Jim Larocca promises that this will be a great way to get more enjoyment with your coach and meet new friends while learning about your coach,” according to a news release.

Thor Motorized (Damon RV & Four Winds RV) Captures Top Ford Chassis Slot


Ford Motorhome ChassisFord Motor Co. recently announced that Thor Industries Inc. is the top volume manufacturer of motorhomes built on Ford chassis.

The award came from Ford after calculating F-53 Super Duty chassis Class A motorhome and E-Series Class C cut-away chassis sales from January 2009 through December 2009, according to a news release.

 

“We are thrilled to win this award. Ford is a great supplier to us and to the overall motorhome market. Throughout the years, the relationship with Ford has continued to grow, and we have been very successful with Ford chassis’ and engines,” commented Bill Fenech, president of Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International Corp.

Thor Motorized Services (TMS), the service arm of Four Winds International, is excited to announce, "Concierge Connection...Your Personal Service Advocate".  Concierge Connection offers new retail owners of any Four Winds motorhome a personal service advocate who is responsible to expedite any service needs.  The Concierge will contact the retail owner within days of being notified of a retail registration and welcome them to the TMS family.  In addition, the Concierge will explain the warranty and answer any questions such as how to obtain service, and give answers to general FAQ?s about their motorhome operation. The Concierge will emphasize the need for the owner to take their motorhome to the selling dealer for service whenever possible and that the dealer is the main point of contact for service. If there is a need for more technical assistance, the owners will be assigned a Customer Service Specialist who will be qualified to handle all of their concerns and help them increase their comfort level with their motorhome.

The Concierge will contact the retail owner again during the third month of ownership to bolster confidence in the service commitment provided by TMS.  The follow up will assure the owner that TMS will assist in connecting the owner to a Customer Service Specialist, acting as a liaison between the owner and dealer.

Four Winds Rolling Out The New Ventura Class B Motorhome

Four Winds International announced that they are adding a new motorhome to their line up with the “Ventura” Class B.  “The Ventura line will be a highline product with many features not found in the Class B market today,” said Scott Jacobson, National Sales Manager, Four Winds International.

After a very successful début with their first Sprinter Class C motorhome, the Elkhart based manufacturer looks to do the same with the Ventura.  The Ventura uses an 8,550 lb. GVWR, 2500 Series Sprinter van chassis with a 154 HP, 3.0 Liter Mercedes CDI 6-Cylinder Engine.

Four Winds International Introduces New Kodiak Class C Motorhomes

Kodiak Super C MotorhomesFour Winds International has introduced a new generation of upscale Kodiak Class C motorhomes. Models 36A and 36B are available in the Chateau, Dutchmen and Four Winds Class C lines. They are built on an impressive 26,000 lb. GVWR Chevrolet Kodiak chassis which boasts a gross combined weight rating of 30,000 lbs for maximum towing capability. The new models are power by a 330 horse power Duramax diesel engine and a heavy duty Allison 2350 Series 6-speed transmission. An E-Z ridet suspension system has also been employed to provide an ultra smooth ride with superior driving stability.

"The new Kodiak models have a great balance of style and power. They are high-end all the way around and complimented with a chassis that won't disappoint," said Scott Jacobson, National Sales Manager, Four Winds International.

Model 36A is a spacious triple slideout floor plan with a master king bed and two bunk beds built into one of the slide rooms. The bunk beds are available with either a single 19" LCD television across from the bunks or individual LCD monitors with head phones at each bunk. Model 36B is a double slideout floor plan with a large kitchen area and a master king bed. This model also features a roomy split bathroom with a full-size corner shower.

Both models are 37' 6" long with 84" interior ceilings to give you plenty of room to move about the coach. Entertainment features for both models include a mid-ship 32" LCD television, a 26" LCD bedroom television and an optional home theater system. Elegant European style cabinetry is used throughout the coach along with a solid surface kitchen countertop to complete the ensemble. On the outside these models feature molded fiberglass front and rear caps, convenient side hinged luggage doors, an impressive 100 gallons of fresh water, and a 10,000 lb. hitch. Also available is an optional outside entertainment center that features a 26" LCD television and a stereo system with an integrated DVD player and iPod hook up. Base MSRP for the 36A is $146,930 and the 36B is $145,530.

Mandalay Luxury Division Introduces New Presidio Floorplan

Mandalay Luxury Division has added a new floorplan to the 2008 Presidio 400 Class A diesel luxury motorhome line-up; The ergonomic layout of Model 39H provides more comfortable living space and seating areas when traveling with or entertaining family and friends.

"This new floorplan features an entertainment center with 32" LCD high-definition television located in the living area-a popular feature with today's RVers," said Jon Krider, National Sales Manager, Mandalay Luxury Division.  "It also includes other appealing amenities such as a king-size bed, separate shower and toilet area, and stackable washer and dryer option."

The Presidio 39H is built on a rugged Freightliner XC raised rail chassis with a "2007 emission" 400-HP Cummins ISL engine and Allison MH3000 six-speed transmission.  This engine has a full 1,200-lbs. ft. of torque which means you'll have smooth, consistent performance in virtually any situation-from towing a vehicle uphill to driving along the open highway.  The Goodyear 275/70R 22.5" tires have ozone-resistant sidewalls and cool-running stable tread for improved handling and longer life.

Model 39H features multiple pass-through storage compartments, side-opening baggage doors between the axles and aluminum wheels.  Other standard features include MCD sun visor and privacy shade, Norcold 12-cubic foot Stainless Steel refrigerator, Corian countertops in the kitchen and bath, full tile floor throughout, color back-up monitor with side vision cameras, home theater system with DVD player, Sirius satellite radio with six-month subscription, Onan 8000-watt generator and 2000-watt inverter.  It is also available with dual Euro chairs as an option in place of the passenger side sofa.

There are five different interior decor packages available with a choice of standard Golden Maple or optional Cherry or Cinnamon Maple cabinetry wood.  Model 39H is also available with a choice of five new full-body exterior paint packages.

Four Winds International Redesigns Magellan Class A Line-Up

2008 Magellan by Four Winds RV (Class A Motorhomes)Four Winds International introduced the newly designed 2008 Magellan Class A motorhome with a modern, upscale look.  It features five comfortable and functional floorplans at a modest price point for today’s RV enthusiast.

 

“We are proud of the design changes we’ve made to the coach,” said Scott Jacobson, National Sales Manager, Four Winds International.  “The new Magellan has a very clean, well appointed look both inside and out.  A sleek one-piece windshield and bold full-body paint scheme define the exterior, while the interior features contemporary European styled cabinetry with barrel cylinder hardware and flat panel doors.”

 

Two new floorplans have been added for 2008, one featuring a bunk bed model, and the other triple zone living.  Model 34B has bunk beds that are a full 30" x 80" and comfortably accommodates adults or children.  The bunk area includes a privacy curtain as well as a 19" LCD television with game adapters.  Model 36F has a 32" LCD television in the living room entertainment center, a fully equipped kitchen with round dinette, roll-out countertop extension with cabinet storage and 26" LCD television in both the dining and bedroom.

 

Other Magellan floorplans include Models 36E that features two leather recliners and a radio stand in the bedroom.  Model 36R has a 32" LCD television in the living room entertainment center with a choice of cabinet storage or optional fireplace and roll-out countertop extension with cabinet storage.  Model 36Z has a full bath in the master suite and a ½-bath by the living room.

 

The Magellan models have a GVWR of 22,000-lbs. with 22-1/2" aluminum wheels, and are built on a Ford chassis with a V-10, 6.8-liter Triton engine.  Standard features include full 84" ceiling height; passenger side workstation with computer hook-ups; Infiniss™ Leather driver and passenger captain’s chairs; generator start switch on dash; European style Cinnamon Maple cabinetry with hidden hinges; double door refrigerator with Stainless Steel inserts; Surfx™ laminate kitchen countertops; queen-size bed with inner spring mattress; and Guardian RV Quietpact™ 5500 KW generator.

 

Popular optional features include full-body paint packages with gel-coat sidewalls and coordinating awnings, European style Cherry cabinetry, dual pane windows, satellite dish, central vacuum system and Onan® RV Marquis Gold 7000 KW generator.  A full three-year, 45,000-mile limited structural warranty is standard on all Magellan motorhomes.
